Launched on July 14th, the first drop in the series features six looks inspired by the Italian label’s most recent collection, including the Panther print, pieces embellished with the Toile iconography, and the newly-released Garavani Rockstud ballerinas.
Participants can then choose from the various head-turning outfits to dress their avatars, which can be utilized in Meta’s platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and its various VR experiences.
In a statement, Valentino said: “In our bid to explore the digital fashion space, we hope to reach more people. Encouraging individuality and building community is a constant conversation and exploration. Over the years, digital communities have strengthened this pursuit, building an even more powerful, open-to-all ethos.”
A second drop is expected to be announced later this year.
