Steve Madden to open new flagship store on Oxford Street

Steve Madden, the well-known American footwear brand acclaimed for its diverse and accessible styles, has announced the forthcoming opening of a new flagship store on Oxford Street in London. The store, situated at 270 Oxford St, is set to officially open its doors in late August, with a grand opening event scheduled for September 7, open to the public.

The Oxford Street boutique reflects the dynamic and authentic essence of London’s fashion scene, offering a carefully curated selection of styles for both men and women, complemented by a range of Steve Madden handbags. Among the footwear choices are popular Steve Madden best-sellers, including the JEWELER heel, alongside the TAZMANIA, ROARING-R, DOUBLETAKE, and DOUBLETAKE-R sneakers.

Steve Madden, Founder, Creative & Design Chief, expressed his excitement about the venture, stating, “Not many know that my first shoes were made in Hackney, so my fondness for London is boundless. To be on Oxford St is incredible. I always say I want to see women worldwide in my shoes, and this is another milestone toward that goal.”

The new store encompasses approximately 1200 SQ FT of retail space thoughtfully designed to provide customers with a comfortable and immersive shopping experience. Display systems have been strategically illuminated to showcase the latest footwear, bags, and accessories. By incorporating digital elements, the store establishes a meaningful connection to the vibrant world of Steve Madden, while incorporating classic and finely crafted textures reminiscent of the spirit of Oxford Street. The flagship store harmoniously combines contemporary styles adorned with soft colours, rich textures, and elements such as wood, marble, and a lush moss wall with accents of gold metal—all thoughtfully done in true Steve Madden style.

The storefront reflects the brand’s steadfast commitment to quality, style, and affordability, catering to customers in a welcoming yet contemporary manner. Being located on this esteemed street is a testament to Steve Madden’s dedication to pushing boundaries and redefining the norms. Ed Rosenfeld, CEO of Steve Madden, commented, “Opening a store on Oxford Street is an important moment in the growth of the Steve Madden brand worldwide. We are excited to showcase the brand and engage with consumers from the UK and around the globe in one of the world’s most important shopping destinations.”

With over 200 locations across more than 80 countries worldwide, this will be Steve Madden’s second location in London and will serve as the official flagship store since its inauguration at Westfield Shopping Centre in 2019.
